CERITA - CERITI

The urbanites would have a grasp of whatever’s the situation bobbing up and down in their domains but the rural folks would only have a littlest of inkling of what their city living brethrens are experiencing or how the city folks communicate whatsoever information they want exchanged. But for a fact that the city folks would imbue some English words whilst chatting, perchance adding a miniscule bit of sophistication in their babblings whilst stringing a proper grammatically correct sentence demands much on their parleying prowess and in English as the case may be. If only rojak be the result and manglish be it so. And what is sadder still the good old befitting Malay too bears the ignominy of being left entirely on its own and not developed and/or wholesomely researched cum studied in order for it to move on with the times. Truly woeful and even a thesaurus could not be found to give the language its inclusiveness. Anwar the opposition leader recognizes this particular complexity as he emphasizes much on the parlance’s usage specific to a child’s formative years and utilizing the dialect as a native tongue for the populace yet encouraging also the study of other equally dominant dictions or comprehensive versions of them to be taught voluntarily throughout. The pride of every community must never be left to rot, and language depicts culture, exceedingly so. Howsoever he does stress on the importance of Mandarin being the economic imperative as of currently since China is a GNP powerhouse and the little ones are best exposed to the trade language earlier on. Citing also the well pronounced English he detected being spoken by Chinese students at Oxford and George Washington University whilst being visiting Professor and when inquired they told him they had only studied the language a year and a half before but the courses were intensive with very strict and extensive hours being included from beginning to end. Nothing beats an intense bout of good old colloquial Queen’s English he thus ended his succinct address upon the subject.
