Salam Encik Papalados,

Fascinating song.

It brought back memories of times growing up in the boondocks of Gombak back in the 60s listening to Ismail Harun songs on the ubiquitous transistor radio.

Ismail Harun sings songs with meaningful lyric a'la Bob Dylan. I once watched a youtube clip of him wearing a turban singing religious songs.

Good for him.

Yo En Mat Over, thanks for dropping in, Askum. It was the lyrics wasn't it. Thought of how cheesy the words were, you know, asking not what your country can do for you, sort of a belated JFK thingy. Then again it was the early seventies, couldn't be precise really but that was when i first heard the song. however fast forwarding to about now, kind of paradoxical isn't it, how the young are actually conscious of their environment- political or otherwise- quite so. Yep they are doing everything for their country, the glaring fact being they pretty much are the nation. And they must only deserve the best. Papalados the old fart need be only the excited spectator. Go Anak Muda Go!
