I Just Called To Say.....

Somehow sex was never at the back of Papa's mind when he is hot on the trail of a jelitawan. It was the perennial chase, an end in itself and never the means. That's why, most of the times, Papa did not bother to ask whether the girl already called for, he knows, his little endeavour hardly bear any malice. Should the jelitawan reciprocate, the most she would do is follow him and friends go karaoke at news or star ktv. Further to that there would be the light banter exchanged over the phone. Followed by the once in a while ~to say hello call~ or the jelitawan sending a card inviting Papa and friends to her wedding. He thought that would be the outcome of his tryst with jelitawan Wt but that was not to be since he of all persons not unlike an amorously inclined 17 year old, ~fell in love~ !

Once Bitten Twice Shy

We, the young at hearts, eventhough married with kids, must seek a bit of excitement in our dull and much routined lives. For Papa, the seedy dangdut club is one avenue he finds very satisfying. There, he can sing and dance to his heart's contents. Just a little bit of cash expended occasionally, not at all ruinous to one's budget. After dancing, you go home, nothing more, perfectly harmless. To look for a partner, is an entirely different matter. Papa knows more than anyone else. He had the bitter experience in Jelitawan Wt - the marketing person aka the Killer Robot. It could be nothing but for the simple fact that he fell in love! Fortunately, it only lasted for less than a month. It truly ended before it begins. If not, Papa would not only lose his mind, but everything else as well!!

Cinta Monyet

The anticipation, the hoping against hopes, the carefully worded pronouncements and last but not least, the loud guffaws when comparing notes with friends. The all important chase that gives life to the whole pitiful endevour. A perpetual chase.. never conquering. Papa's too cozy in his little comfort zone and too scared to venture beyond. He's the aphoristic ~coward~, besides, what beautiful thing, crazy enough would fall for him anyway. He looked old, avuncular like old, girls would never be intimidated in his company. In all likelihood, they would instantly call him "Pakcik" and thus accorded appropriate respect, kissing his hands. That's how he is. An acronism amid the turmoil. Perhaps, in exception, the tryst with Jelitawan Wt when like a bright-eyed school boy he fell in love!!

The mind's still a bit heavy, the heart's equally weighted... but the body's beginning to feel light as relief started to permeate inside. The peace of mind is just starting to return. The jelitawan debacle that was, leaving Papa Lados aka Zul Gagap a much broken man... Humbled by a young girl, Papa vowed to not belittle any young person. Wisdom of age should be utilised benignly for guiding youngsters rather than manipulating their tender thoughts. The jelitawan wants to build a life with her sweetheart... let them be, as it's now their universe... their playing fields... and their initiatives. All the best !

All the best to all Junior Veteran Club (JVC) members. Despite Papa's relentless pursuit of Jelitawan Wt's heart, it is crestfallenly apparent that the earnest chase was to no avail. The jelitawan had just revealed via SMS that Papa's persistent pursuance of her had resulted in her clashing with her sweetheart. Her very words... she also asked whether Papa is still interested in investing with UniAsia. Papa requested her not to submit his application. Respecting her perculiar circumstances, Papa feels less prudent to stop all potential contact. Papa thanked her for telling the truth. Verily Papa just couldn't chase anymore. Wishing her all the best and a ubiquitous good nite, Papa ~ heaving a sigh of relief ~ will go back to Bukit Tengkorak and into the wilderness... Or resume chasing even more young girls !!!

When Papa wrote the short letter, requesting the bank to activate a stop payment procedure, it ended without a whimper, all his hopes for jelitawan Wt. He lost the waiting game... he couldn't hold on any longer. He is getting older and his heart may not be able to sustain the emotional turpitudes. Perhaps he is not patient enough. Deep inside, he still loves her... maybe, on a fine day, should she called him, sweet talked him and beguiled him, the old bastard could very well, stupidly, foolishly and unrepentingly ~fall for her~ again !.

Akum, dear bros. It is with regret that Papa wish to inform of a most recent occurrence that transpired just this fine morning (last month). The Jelitawan Wt that most of JVC have been acquainted with, true to accepted perceptions, is just another selfish Marketing person. After closing the deal with Papa, though very modest, did not bother to answer a harmless SMS requesting her to collect Papa's photostate IC. Her answer was, she is busy with appointments and in Seremban. Without suggesting any other dates, she asked to fax instead. Papa requested a stop payment procedure from his bank. Apparently, the Jelitawan Wt doesn't appreciate any kind gestures from anyone. Papa did ~bereng~ her, but it was perfectly harmless and all in good fun. To adopt this "tidak apa" attitude is unprofessional. However, Papa stands corrected !

Papa has just been too naive all this time. Until this evening at least. He had, prior to tonight's revelation, this perculiarly unique notion that Bkt Tengkorak or all that's happening around Bkt Tengkorak holds the key to unlocking life's vicissitudes. Falling for Jelitawan Wt was, perhaps, his proverbial wake-up call. Being a staunch Marketing person, Wt is quite well-versed in her craft. There's absolute nothing that could mitigate her ultra aggressive modus operandi when it comes to making sales. Papa, ever the ignorant bastard, thinks he could tame the shrew in Wt, naively confident that there is still some humanity left. But Marketing persons are not humans. They are like killer robots ! Closing deals is paramount !! It is the essence of LIFE to them !!! Nothing else matters ! Not even Papa's LOVE... Sigh...
